Highly-Qualified Professionals (HQP) are the most valuable asset of a
corporation. Their contribution results in the significant innovations,
relationships and strategic advantages of an organization. Yet HQP's
are highly mobile and do not give allegience to an institution that
does not meet their ideals. Their departure has expensive consequences
for a company and diminishes its long-term quality. In trying to
eliminate its dependency on HQP's, an organization is forced to adopt
layers of redundency and bureaucracy that are also very expensive.
HQP's are attracted by other HQP's in leadership roles and in positions
similar to their own, and by ideals and opportunities that they value.
Managers are usually threatened by HQP's and may be biased against
hiring them. A significant problem is that people who are not highly
qualified cannot assess the qualifications of those who are.
There are five distinct stages that Highly-Qualified Professionals go
through, and their motivation and needs are different in each stage.
HQP's thrive when they have recognition, authority, opportunity for
growth and compensation corresponding to their true value, where the
priority of these factors depends on the developmental stage of the
HQP. Understanding these stages is key to attracting, managing and
retaining HQP's. In addition, there are specific policies that an
organization must provide to all employees and customers in
order to retain HQP's.
The three-day workshop will outline the research and describe the
five stages of development of HQP's.
It will give direct, personal experience
in the method of recognizing HQP's, determining their stage, developing
them further and
engaging them in work that benefits the organization. A climate
assessment tool will show the long-term attractiveness of your
organization to HQP's.
The workshop will include Heart Rhythm Practice to develop the
intuition to recognize a HQP and the inner confidence to engage the HQP
in dialogue. Heart Rhythm Practice is a methodology that uses awareness
of breath and heartbeat. It builds personal mastery, insightful vision
and integrity, while helping a person become more connected to their
emotions and to others.
